In recent years, many advances and breakthroughs have occurred in the field of endodontics, such as the introduction of the dental operating microscope, digital imaging, the use of ultrasonics, and regenerative endodontics. Our office incorporates the use of these techniques, and all endodontic cases are treated with the aid of the dental operating microscope, regardless of the difficulty, as we believe this is the standard of care.
Our office is equipped with Digital X-rays which produce images with better resolution, more clarity, and more detail. Not only does improved clarity help improve diagnoses and shape your treatment plan, but the images themselves can be digitally manipulated or brightened using computer software, and measurement of your tooth can be made directly on the screen using this specialized software. Most importantly, Digital Radiography Exposes You to Safer Levels of Radiation. Digital imaging reduces radiation exposure for both the patient and the dentist by up to 90%.
CUTTING-EDGE COMPUTER-CONTROLLED LOCAL ANESTHETIC DELIVERY
(CCLAD)* TECHNOLOGY FOR EFFORTLESS DENTAL ANESTHESIA
Do needles make you feel uncomfortable and give you anxiety? This is a common fear among many dental patients. Thankfully, our syringeless anesthesia system is painless compared to traditional needle injections for anesthesia. This device has a much smaller needle that focuses on numbing a specific tooth in your mouth. Many patients find this more preferable than having an entire side of their face numb for several hours.
The Dentapen works by controlling the flow of anesthesia administered to the tissue. Did you know that most of the pain associated with oral injections is because the anesthesia was delivered too quickly? With the syringeless wand, Dr. Hanson is able to slowly and steadily inject anesthesia to eliminate your pain and discomfort during the dental procedure
One of the best psychological benefits of our syringeless anesthesia system is that it doesn’t look like a needle. This is great for patients who have a needle phobia or have had bad experiences associated with needles. The handheld device resembles a pen, which looks much less intimidating than your standard dental syringe. Many patients also prefer this method of injection over syringes because it simply hurts less.
